Wearing colourful leotards and moving in rhythm to the music, two Kings Langley "physie" girls marched their way to the national finals.
Finally old enough to compete, Ruby Agius's fourth place in the seven-years catagory was enough to catapult her into the nationals final at Hombush on November 23, while Abbey Brookhouse's second in the eight-years section was enough for her to breeze through.
Five other girls, aged six to eleven, have one more chance to make the nationals if they perform well at the repecharge early next month.
Instructor Kelly Klein said the secret to their sucess was hard work.
"The girls work very hard to get results in competitions and this year had been the best year our club has ever had." she said.
